URL Means
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator. Basically, it is a web address such that reference to a web resource. We can say that it is a location on
the computer network and method for retrieving it. Other words, it is a uniform resource identifier.
Different forms of Uniform Resource Locator
There are four forms and application of it.
1-HTTP ( Hypertext Transfer Protocol)
2-FTP ( File Transfer Protocol)
2-Mailto
4-JDBC (Java Base Connectivity)
Hypertext Transfer Protocol
Basically, it is an application protocol. It is used of HTTP form such as
http://www.example.com/index.html. With the help of HTTP, we connect to the World Wide Web.
FTP ( File Transfer Protocol)
Basically, it is a network protocol. It is used for the transfer of computer files. It is used may be found such as
index.html
